The world is full of vibrant, eye-catching destinations that can turn any trip into a thoroughly colorful experience, both metaphorically and literally. With that in mind, we're here to commemorate these locations in today's article by using different color palettes to immerse you in the beauties of these areas. Let's take you through all the colors of the rainbow, right from red to indigo. Who knows, you may even get a bonus location if you stick around to the end.

Red - Red Square, Moscow, Russia

St Basil's Cathedral, which is a symbol of Russia built by order of Ivan the Terrible, stands at the southern front of the imposing Red Square. The building's colorful domes rested on top of strikingly-red towers and were built between 1555 and 1561. It's a vibrant, colorful display, and elsewhere in the square, the dominant color of red can be found in the Kazan Cathedral, The Tsar's Tower, the State Historical Museum, and the formidable edifice that is Lenin's Mausoleum. If you plan to visit Red Square, keep in mind that it is frequently closed for rehearsals and celebrations.

Orange - New England, USA

New England's fall foliage gives a vibrant visual of nature at its most enthralling, making it a popular destination for autumn leaf-peepers. For outdoor lovers, it's the ideal location to visit. Beech, birch, oak, and dogwood all add to the exciting parade of alluring colors. Smugglers Notch over in Vermont and Crawford Notch in New Hampshire are two of the best locations; both are secured forest regions where glaciers passed through during the last ice age and are now breathtaking views.

Yellow - Lisbon, Portugal

The charming city of Lisbon's yellow funiculars are a fun and convenient way to explore the various neighborhoods, and they sure provide a better experience than climbing all those steps. The most well-known of the city's three funiculars, the Glória Funicular (or Elevador da Glória) offers breathtaking views of the surroundings as it travels between Restauradores Square, which is in the downtown area, and Rua San Pedro de Alcántara in Bairro Alto. The vehicles' distinctive, vintage appearance with their vibrant yellow outer coating has become the stuff of legend in addition to what they offer.

Green - Kamakura, Japan

Kamakura is a laid-back seaside town that provides tranquility and peace of mind. It takes much more than just a day trip from Tokyo, though.  At the back of the main hall of Hokokuji Temple, which has a significant Buddha after the Zen temple gate, is a lush forest of 2000 Moso bamboo. The Arashiyama grove in Kyoto and the Sagano Scenic Railway, also called the Sagano Romantic Train, are charming.

Blue - Blue Lagoon, Iceland

The Svartsengi power station provides warm water for Iceland's Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa. Even though it is well-liked by tourists, it is a must-stop when traveling through the nation. Soaking in the warm, nourishing water while contrasting it with winter's crisp, clean air is a thoroughly calming experience. The Blue Lagoon is a perfect 38°C and contains rich blue-green algae, silica mud, and natural mineral salts. It is composed of 70% seawater and 30% fresh water. Even a skylight show might be visible if you're lucky.

Indigo: The Sahara

When crossing the Sahara, the Tuareg people need clothing in addition to camels and water, and over time, indigo blue has become a popular option for veils and tagelmust turbans. The headgear, which shields wearers from wind, sun, and sand, is only worn by Tuareg men after they reach adulthood. Visitors can enjoy themselves in the Sahara in a variety of ways, and each one proves to be a fruitful and distinctive experience in and of itself.

Violet: Provence, France

It's understandable why photographers travel to the Côte d'Azur and Provence summer after summer to take pictures of the region's renowned fragrant purple and violet lavender fields. One of the best places to see sunflowers and lavender fields side by side is along the D8 road heading toward the Plateau de Valensole. The flowers can also be seen all over Drôme, including Saou and Montbrun-Les-Bains, and in front of the well-known Sénanque Abbey. There are also historic olive groves, snow-capped mountains, and winding roads along cliffs.

Rainbow - India & Nepal

The festival of Holi is celebrated each year throughout Nepal, India, and, recently, regions of Southeast Asia as well. It is one of the world's most vibrant and potent displays of color. Holi is a celebration of spring and love that is beautifully expressed with tons of color. If you want to participate, be ready to be completely covered in colored paint, whether it's liquid or powder form. The latter is typically applied using balloons and water guns.
