Summer-time and feeling fine, but don’t know where to go? June is the perfect time to explore different destinations and travel! It is also the prime time to go if you want to save a little money since it is the peak price season.

Where Are the Best Places to Adventure for Some R&R?

The ABC Islands

The Caribbean is first on the list. But more specifically, the ABC islands: Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacoa, which sit off the coast of Venezuela. Interestingly, while they may be geographically located in South America, the Netherlands has governed the islands since the 17th century. Weather-wise, unlike the other Caribbean islands, you should not find yourself in hurricane season in June. In June, you also miss the high season or the rainy wet, cold, and too-hot-to-handle weather that comes in the later summer months. Additionally, June brings these islands some less crowded beaches and low hotel rates.

Don’t miss out on seeing the beautiful beaches like Eagle Beach in Aruba or the resorts that are perfect for honeymooners out in the southwest of Curacao. Aruba is known for its nightlife, Curacao for its Dutch cuisine, and Bonaire for exploring the underworld with snorkeling and diving.

Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique

Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique, is another tropical island destination known for its unreal beauty. This place in June is like magic. It is the start of the dry season, so you can go out in the morning and stick your toes in the perfect, soft sand, snorkel to discover the colorful reef fish, or find yourself spotting a humpback whale in the far distance.

The island is a protected national park that ensures the wildlife and vegetation are preserved. There are over 2,000 fish species, a perfect destination if you love sea animals or are a beach enthusiast!

Sardinia, Italy

For the second largest island in the country, Sardinia, it is no surprise it is renowned for its beaches and June weather. White sand and jaw-dropping clear blue waters, nowhere else in the Mediterranean can compete. Mostly known for Costa Smeralda, coined the millionaire’s playground, Sardinia still has room for everyone. Less crowded, and with clear weather, you can not leave this destination off your list.

So what beaches are best? In the south of the capital, Chia has five beaches. The furthest south is Costa Rei, and the beautiful Cala Gonone has the most private beaches. Alghero is known for its popular tourist beaches, and the Sinis Peninsula has both history in Greek ruins and good snorkeling spots for the water goers. If you want more than just the beach, you can also enjoy a great hike up in the Gennargentu Mountains.

Where Is the Best Place to Explore Culture?

Iran

Once known as Persia, Iran is full of culture and enlightenment. Remove your political misconceptions; this country has so many hidden treasures that have yet to be headlines. Esfahan boasts Islamic architecture, with exquisite blue tiles, the remains at Persepolis, which date back nearly two and a half millennia, the deserts, the art, the food, and above all, the most welcoming of people. Prices and crowds during June drop, but it may still be a little warmer. Taking a hike in the Alborz Mountains and seeing the ascent of Mt. Damavand is also worthwhile.

Armenia

If you are dying for history and culture, Armenia is brimming with churches, monasteries, and caravanserais that date back to the first millennium AD or further such as 7,000 years ago. Armenia has overcome and endured a history of oppression, and invasions from neighboring states. You get a glimpse of it through its view of the snow-capped mountains of Mt. Ararat that peers over the Turkish border.

June is the perfect time to explore this country, melting from the winter months before it tips into the blazing heat. It is a diverse land and a must-see on the culture and history bucket list!

Croatia

Before cruise passengers cram the streets and summer’s high heat comes in, June is the perfect time to explore the rich, beautiful country of Croatia. The country has been assaulted and under siege many times by the Saracens, the Venetians, the devastating earthquake of 1667, Napoleon shortly after, and the war of 1991 and 1992. Aside from the trauma, Croatia still holds its beauty in the terracotta roofs, the beautiful coastline, and cobblestone roads. It is a destination you do not want to miss.

What Are the Best Places for Food and Drink?

Lisbon, Portugal

Europe is known for its expensive taste when indulging in good food and drink; however, Lisbon is the exception to finding yourself stunned by the overpriced coffee or beer. Rich with beautiful views and a great city atmosphere, Lisbon also delivers food and drink while not breaking the bank. Most enjoyable in June, you are likely to find place after place during the feast of St. Anthony.

Cape Code, USA

The Massachusetts favorite seaside stop is not only a great place to enjoy the sun and sand, but they will have you drooling from your food memories. There is no shortage of oysters, clams, and lobster rolls that you can’t get anywhere else in the world. Most come during the July and August months, making June just the most delectable time of the year.

Normandy, France

Outside of its impressive castles and cathedrals, Normandy has perfected cheese and cider for its visitors. This city explores a strong culinary heritage with a vast range of fantastic ingredients produced in the region. You will find fresh seafood, succulent duck, and game dishes in addition to delicious drinks. This gorgeous region in June makes you enjoy its legacy at its best.

Conclusion

You can’t go wrong with any of these destinations on the list in the month of June. From relaxation to culture and food, you’ll be sure to enjoy such inspiring places.
